THE OLD PARADISE YARD CAN BE TRICKY TO LOCATE. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS TO FIND US!
The entrance to the Old Paradise Yards is a tree lined driveway situated on the corner of Carlisle Lane and Royal Street and to the right of a private car park. There is a large Old Paradise Yard sign at the beginning of the driveway as well as a sign for a cafe (I’Klectik). Our studio is situated within the main building and the entrance to this can be found to the right side of the building through a grey door marked “Main Entrance”.
Lambeth North – less than 5 minutes walk
Waterloo – less than 10 minutes walk
Westminster – 10 minutes walk
Buses: 159, 59, 77, 12, 53, 148, 168, 76, 341, 453, C10, 26, 139, 243, 171, 172, 176, 188, 1, 4.
Parking is free on the surrounding streets from 6:30pm on weekdays, from 1:30pm on Saturdays and all day on Sundays. There are also a few paying bays available. If you are planning on driving, please be aware that due to the close proximity to St Thomas hospital and the London Eye, as well as a few residential estates, there is no guarantee you will find available spaces. We recommend allowing plenty of time to find a space or better, use public transport.
From Lambeth North Station – cross over the traffic lights right in front of the station and walk down Hercules Road. Take the second right and walk down Centaur Street right under and through the railway arch. You will find yourself right opposite the entrance to the Old Paradise Yard.
From Waterloo station – exit at the Waterloo Road exit opposite Sainsbury’s local on Waterloo Road and turn right. Walk down towards Baileys Road and The Old Vic theatre. Take the first right at the lights and walk down Lower Marsh following it through to the end until you come to some traffic lights at the junction with Westminster Bridge Road. Cross over at the lights and you will see the top of Carlisle Lane slightly to your left (there is a cafe called Sista Barista on the corner). Walk down the Carlisle Lane railway tunnel and you will be able to see the Old Paradise Yard sign to your right once you reach the other side of the tunnel.
From Westminster station – walk down Westminster Bridge towards the London Eye. At the bottom of the bridge turn right onto Lambeth Palace Road at the corner with St. Thomas’ Hospital. After a few yards, cross over at the first set of lights opposite the A&E and walk down Royal Street. Look right at the bottom of Royal Street and you will see the Old Paradise Yard sign and entrance to the tree lined driveway.
