In this class you will learn how to alter the pattern to fit your measurements, how to insert the perfect concealed zip, how to sew darts like a pro, how to create and finish a kick pleat and much more!

Whether you would like to rock this little number with vintage hair and accessories or, in a more classic neat style for the office or an evening out, you will always have a great, versatile staple garment in your wardrobe with this skirt.

*Please note that in order to take this class you need to be very confident on the sewing machine and have either previously completed a few basic dressmaking projects or have taken our one or more of our Beginners Plus classes.

Materials required: 1.5m of 150cm wide woven fabric such as medium weight denim, cotton drill, suiting fabric, medium weight cotton or linen containing 2-3% elastane (your fabric should be a little stretchy but not too much!) You will also need an 8 to 9 inch inch concealed zip, 20cm of lightweight fusible interfacing and matching thread. All other materials and equipment will be provided.

*Please arrive 5 minutes early to ensure prompt start and to make the most of your class.  Depending on your sewing pace you may need to do some final sewing at home. Please bring a packed lunch for all day classes.
